RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES.

Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to the following:

Work collaboratively with all school areas to develop and provide communication and publication services and support.
Identify potential storytelling opportunities, gather all content and creatively share through the website, social media and other sources.
Envision, develop and collaborate with the SBSUM administrative team to convey authentic messages to the community about SBSUM.
Create a strategy for and coordinate posting to the school’s social media platforms for all SBSUM campuses. Collaborate with the SBS marketing specialist to determine crossover impact.
Work closely with all school areas to understand communications requirements, determine the most appropriate media and create cost-effective solutions to extend the school's message.
Effectively meet budget and time constraints; use project management software (Trello) to establish and maintain schedules and deadlines.
Manage all school (individual) pictures processes on all campuses. This includes scheduling photography dates, attending photography sessions, troubleshooting any issues and coordinating the delivery of school pictures.
Perform skilled analysis, evaluation and correction of written materials posted online or in publications.
Extend the school’s brand with common visual standards for the use of logos, typefaces, colors, etc.
Monitor clear communications objectives and link values into every communication. Ensure all communications add value to (instead of dilute) the brand.
Serve as a photographer for school events.

Registrar

Job Summary

The SBSUM Registrar is responsible for a variety of tasks in the areas of enrollment, scheduling, academic performance, and standardized testing for all five SBSUM campuses. Registrar work is performed primarily under the direction of the dean of academics. The registrar should have three or more years of experience working in a school environment. Experience with learning management systems, Advanced Placement, and independent schools is a plus.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES. Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to:

Enrollment

Prepare transcripts for all students new to upper school.
Prepare and maintain accurate student and family data, such as class lists and transcripts, for all students.
Complete withdrawal forms for each student who departs SBSUM.
Manage academic and enrollment records in the learning management system.
Assist with the academic evaluation and data entry of potential students, including prior transcripts.

Scheduling

Assist with course request input and scheduling.
Maintain lists of courses taught currently and previously.
Oversee and assist with the learning management system.

Academic Performance

Maintain accurate and complete records of student academic performance within the learning management system.
Update records accurately and completely as required by the school administration to report student performance and activities.
Run reports and update dashboards as requested by administration.

Standardized Testing

Organize and oversee all aspects of standardized testing, including ERB, PSAT and Advanced Placement. Responsibilities include ordering and organizing materials, proctoring tests and submitting results.
Assist students with their College Board accounts.

Other Responsibilities

Help integrate technologies across platforms and increase efficiencies of data management.
Actively participate in school departmental and parent meetings.
Provide information to parents when requested; promptly return phone calls and answer emails.
Participate in appropriate professional associations and groups.
Take part in extracurricular activities that include social and sporting events, club and student organization meetings.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The SBSUM College Guidance Counselor has overall responsibility for guiding rhetoric students and families at all five SBSUM campuses through the transition to post-secondary education. He/she serves as the rhetoric testing coordinator for all five campuses and oversees the registrar. The college guidance counselor should have at least three or more years of experience in college counseling, college admissions, or high school counseling. Experience with learning management systems, Advanced Placement and independent schools is a plus.

Meet with parents and students to discuss and provide information about the college admissions process.
Meet with parents and students to discuss and provide information regarding college financial aid options.
Work closely with parents, students and the athletics department to navigate the NCAA ClearingHouse process.

Oversee student, parent and faculty use of the online database Naviance, ensuring it is updated with accurate information from the school learning management system.
Visit college campuses and pertinent college conferences to establish and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with college admissions staff.
Work closely with faculty to train and guide the recommendation letter process for students applying to colleges.

The SBSUM Blackbaud database manager is responsible for maintaining and managing the school's Blackbaud K-12 databases (student information system and learning management system) in a manner that represents the pursuit of excellence at SBS. The Blackbaud K-12 system provides a single online experience for faculty, staff, students, and parents in academics, athletics, and activities, as well as being the primary database for the school. The SBSUM Blackbaud K-12 database manager directly supports the school's educational process and administrative functions by providing clear, complete, organized and accurate data. The SBSUM Blackbaud K-12 database manager will attend to all tasks that align with these expectations while maintaining the knowledge necessary to drive innovation. This position reports to the director of school operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES. Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to:

Manage, maintain and support the student information system and learning management system.
Set up, manage and troubleshoot features within the system in support of critical educational processes, such as class and team pages, course scheduling, attendance and grading.
Create lists and reports to address user requests and maximize system support.
Create and upload data import files (for calendar events, constituent data, athletic schedules, etc.).
Administer and maintain user permissions and group permissions for databases.

The goal of the SBSUM athletics is to provide an environment of competition, cooperation and teamwork for our students that glorifies God and provides valuable life lessons. Winning the contest is important to any competitor, but the lessons learned in the heat of competition are the most important attributes to be gained from the contest.

JOB SUMMARY
An SBSUM coach must be able to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate athletic program that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their potential as athletes and ‌as outstanding citizens. SBSUM offers a wide variety of teams to choose from and coaches encourage all students to try out for any and all sports offered. Coaching work is performed under the supervision of the director of athletics. NOTE: Practice times are per individual sport.
